Is your child ready to be potty trained? Use this point system to help decide if your child is ready.

| Younger than 18 months | 0 points |
| Age 18 to 22 months | 1 point |
| Age 22 months or older | 3 points |
| Saying the words "pee" or "poop" with the correct meaning when they use the toilet | 2 points |
| Showing interest in what family members are doing when they use the | 2 points |
| Waking up dry from a nap and/or is able to stay dry for two hours | 3 points |
| Communicating when he or she is going in their diaper or hides when going in their diaper | 3 points |
0-5, Child is likely not ready to be potty trained
6-10, Child is showing signs of preparedness and is likely ready to be potty trained
11-14, Child is most likely ready to be potty trained
