Our sleep training services
Sleep is one of our most basic needs required for survival. “How do I get my baby to sleep?” is a riddle as old as the Sphinx. It is the biggest worry of all soon-to-be parents and the most difficult hurdle for any newly minted parent. Even the most veteran of parents can often lose the battle of sleep when it comes to their children. There are many myths and misnomers when it comes to sleep training. Hopefully, I can clear some of the clouds that stand in the way of what sleep training is all about and shine some well needed star light on the topic.
What is a sleep consultant, and how can you help my family?
A certified infant-child sleep consultant is a trained professional who helps families navigate sleep challenges through personalized support and strategies. Whether you’re facing bedtime battles, night wakings, or short naps, we work with you to develop a sleep plan tailored to your child’s age, temperament, and your parenting style.
What ages do you work with?
We have four categories to assist you and your child depending on their age: newborn (0-4 months), infant (5-12 months), toddler (13-36 months), and child (3-5 years). The strategies we use and the guidance we give are always developmentally and age-appropriate and based on scientific methodology.
What is “cry-it-out” and how does it work?
The “cry it out” method in its most basic definition is to lay your child down while awake, leave the room, and do not enter again even if the child cries. This method may work quickly, but can be emotionally difficult for both parent and child.
Do you use “cry-it-out” methods?
No! Our methods of sleep training are varied and tailored specifically to your family circumstances. We offer a range of sleep strategies—from gentle and gradual methods to more vigorous and direct—and work collaboratively to find what works best for your family. None of our approaches would be defined as “Cry it out.”
What does the process look like?
Typically, the process includes:
A detailed intake questionnaire to understand your child’s sleep history and patterns.
A consultation call to discuss your goals and challenges.
A custom written sleep plan tailored to your family’s situation (based on the information collected in the questionnaire and from phone or text conversations).
Ongoing support (email, text, or calls) as you implement the plan.
Adjustments may be made to your sleep plan as we progress through the sleep training and make new discoveries on what works and doesn’t work for you and your child.
How long does it take to see results?
While every child is different, many families see noticeable improvements within 3–5 days, with more consistent sleep habits forming over 1–2 weeks. Consistency and follow-through are key, and we're here to support you each step of the way.
Do you work with families who are still breastfeeding or co-sleeping?
Absolutely. We fully support breastfeeding and will never ask you to stop. We also work with families who practice bed-sharing or room-sharing, offering sleep solutions that respect your values and parenting choices. We do, however, reserve the right to pause or stop our sleep session if any safety concerns arise. We may also ask you and your family to consult your pediatrician or other pediatric specialist where medical or health advice is needed, as we are not healthcare professionals.
Do you offer virtual services or in-home visits?
We offer both virtual consultations (via video, phone, email, and text) and limited in-home visits based on your location. Virtual support allows us to work with families worldwide while still providing personalized, real-time guidance.
Is this right for me if my baby is waking up multiple times a night?
Yes! Frequent night waking is one of the most common reasons families seek sleep support. We’ll help you understand the causes and implement a plan to improve overnight sleep in a manageable, sustainable way.
What if the plan doesn’t work for my baby?
Sleep consulting is not one-size-fits-all. If something isn’t working, we adjust. Our packages include follow-up support so we can troubleshoot and refine the plan as needed—until it works for your unique child and family.
